Allow children to perform a Christmas concert with their parents their supporting them.
Why this petition matters
Early years settings have been told for the second year running we can't have parents at our Christmas shows/concerts.
The children practice hard for this and are proud to show their parents/carers their learning during the festive period.
Not allowing an indoor concert just makes no sense at all. There is no clear reasoning or evidence as to why this is necessary. Large scale venue events such as music concerts, football, nightclubs are all able to operate on such a large scale of attendee but the early years christmas concerts, which for us would be 36 adults is not able to go ahead. Once again its the children missing out.
Is it because its not a money making event? It's about equality and ensuring the children's education is important to us all. The children's shows or concerts are worth so much more than money.
It may seems minor to some people but it's a large part of the children's learning journey.
The children have missed out on so much of their "normal" learning journey. Why can the rest of the economy go on as normal whilst children are still having to miss out.
Please support us to get as many people as possible to sign the petition to be brought to attention of the people who can help us make that difference.
We don't want this to become the norm for the future generations.
The children deserve an explanation or fact based evidence that the reasoning for this is legit.
