Given the situation, may of us Alevel students have had the worst start to this new level of education, after having a disruptive end to our GCSE qualifications.
Personally and I’m sure many other students have been doing online learning since the start in September, and now due to lockdown I have lost the one day i was actually able to go in to college to get some basic grounding in the new topics for the week ahead that would be online, however I no longer have even this anymore. I’m most certain many other students are going through the same exact same situation. I’m now going to be staring at a screen for 17 hours a week along with revision of my own AND the homework given for us to complete. Trying my best to understand it all, I email my teachers as often as possible for clarification but it’s not enough and it’s not fair on any of us. This isn’t working and I’m demanding some kind of change. I’ve already had 4 months of education go down the drain.
The impact this has had on our mental health is insane, I’m loosing the reassurance and belief in myself. The uncertainty is immense.

So I ASK for you to act now and please do something about this, whether it’s to reduce content or allow our teachers to give us assessed grades as they are the only ones who are seeing the effort we put in with the work we do get to submit to them.

Why are we being overlooked? We’re going through a global pandemic, yet education is being forced upon us as though that’s what holds more significance instead of our health.
