In the Maple Crest and Tamarack Communities of Southeast Edmonton, there has been many instances where drivers have been using residential roads as racetracks. I myself, was nearly hit by a pickup traveling at almost 80km/hr while on a morning jog. My wife and I expect our son to be born in a month and I fear to raise him in a community where the speed of selfish and disrespectful residents are not being enforced. Sure you can report to the police, sure you can request the Vision Zero program and yes you can email your City Ward, but let me tell you that I have done all that multiple times and I have seen no improvement or change whatsoever. 

It's time for people of our community to stand up and voice our concerns. Whatever needs to be done to make our community safer for us, our children  and our future needs to be done! We are done waiting patiently for a change! 

We are calling out our City to enforce this speeding in any way necessary. We want police presence, photo radar and if it comes down to it, speed bumps and more stop signs. Talking will only get us no where, taking action will get us somewhere 

So join me in bringing us closer to making a change to make our community safer.
