The reason I’ve created this petition is because of the usage of “Say So” by Doja Cat in Instagram edits becoming so overused that it has become a source of great anger and hostility in me and many other unnamed Instagrammers.

Imagine: you’ve just gotten home from a long day of school, or work, and you think, “I’ll go on Instagram and look at some edits in the explore tag!” And then, you hear it for the first time.

“Didn’t have to know me,

keeping me in the moment,

I get you hot and moaning,

why don’t you say so?”

Not your thing, but not intolerable, you think. That was your very first mistake. Thinking that single thought has become a deep regret. You hear it a second time, then a third, then a fourth, and the cycle goes on. A week later, and you can barely look at explore, or even your own feed, without hearing it once. It is insufferable. You’ve never snapped before but you’re close to losing it.

That is how I (and many others) feel, in regards to this song.

This petition is, not to take away freedom of expression, but to help keep people’s sanities, and stop them from doing something they will regret. Keep me from doing something I’ll regret.

If this petition doesn’t get the bare minimum of signs, I will literally delete Say So by Doja Cat off the internet. I will ban it in all countries. If I don’t have the right to never hear that wretched song again as long as I live, you don’t have the right to keep torturing me with it either.
