Little Italy Plaque.

Little Italy Plaque.
Recently Manchester received a plaque, after many years of campaigning to get a plaque to show the contribution that Italians have given to the city and society by revealing the site of Manchester’s Little Italy. Manchester has one, Liverpool has one, even Dublin, but none in Scotland.
As of 2020, it was estimated that there are 100,000 or more Scots of Italian descent living in Scotland. Many of these first Italians arrived in Scotland and settled in places such as Edinburgh’s Grassmarket, which was known as Little Italy. However, there is no mention of it whatsoever.
There has to be a plaque to show the contribution that Italians gave to Scotland and also with England and Ireland having these plaques, but none in Scotland is an absolute shame and a let down to Italian Scots.
