Why this petition matters
EDEN DISTRICT COUNCIL want to impose a one way pedestrian system in Appleby town centre . please sign this petition to oppose it .
It would mean that to go from the Post office to lets say Dents Newsagent you would have to walk away fro Dents , cross High wiend , then Boroughgate , walk pst Stephensons . Boots etc , turn right onto Bridge street walk along Bridge street to the Bridge then cross the road & walk back along Bridge street on the other side passing the cloisters crossing Low wiend , pass The crown & cushion & Spa , Dowdings Seet shop until you get to Dents . If you then want to go to pignys then repeat but go down Low Wiend & onto Chapel street . Gawd help you if you forget something !!! I'm exhausted just working it out !!
