Back in December of 2010 my soulmate, Robert Perry was arrested and sentenced to 300 months (25 years) for a non violent crime. Him being away from his family and I for so long has impacted not only us, but him as well. He has always been a family man, has never taken his family for granted. Robert has one 18 year old daughter (Nadia Perry), which he has been taking care of the entire time he’s been incarcerated. Him and his daughter has always had a close/tight bond since the day she was born. He has always taught her to do and be her best, to not let anyone tell her she can’t do anything that she puts her mind to. Not only is his daughter missing him like crazy, but his parents as well. They are both elderly and life just hasn’t been the same since he’s been gone. Robert has changed his ways and his outlook on what he’s done in the past. Since he’s been locked up, he has not only learned from his mistakes but he’s also trying to steer young men in the right direction to keep them from making the same mistakes he has in the past. Since being incarcerated, Robert has earned his Apprenticeship for Computer Programmer and also has his Apprenticeship for his welding license. He has shown a lot of gratitude and deserves a second chance to show the world that he is better than how his past presents him to be.
