Homework is keeping me from spending time with my family and from living my life and, personally, I don't want to see my sister grow up before I do. Plus, the homework only gets more and more piled up as we get into a higher grade. I mean, just imagine not being able spend time with your family just because you're trying to finish homework. Also, after 7 hours of sitting in school doing work, the last thing I want to do is go home and spend another hour to as much as 5 hours of school work. To the teachers that give homework on weekends, why? The only thing homework does, especially during the weekends, is take the time we are supposed to be spending as a break from school and make it just another day of school but with an early release. Homework also just ads more stress to the children and now, even my 5 year old sister is actually stressed because of how much homework KINDERGARTEN has to do. I understand elementary and up but KINDERGARTEN? Why the little ones, too? I find it really dumb to give homework out to the younger ones because that just makes them stressed, which is NOT what parents would want their children to be. Honestly, it would be perfect if homework was banned completely but if this petition could at least get the homework at a minimum amount, I think that would be good enough. I really just think that homework should be just some extra work that takes an hour tops to complete. In conclusion, I just want some more time and I'm sure that most of you want more time, as well.
