This is a petition to Francis Scarpaleggia, the MP of PierreFonds-Roxboro area, 

Climate change is one of the most prominent issues in our modern-day society. Unfortunately, the consequences are drastically worsening as the years go on. Climate change has caused more frequent and extreme weather events, rising sea levels, drought, flooding, and has had many more harmful effects (Nibset). The largest cause of climate change is the emissions of greenhouse gasses. As a developed country, Canada emits one of the largest amounts of greenhouse gasses per person. In 2019, roughly 25% of Canada’s emissions came from transportation (Government of Canada, 2021). A solution to lowering our emissions caused by transportation would be to add the BIXI project in the Pierrefonds- Roxboro area. BIXI has proven to be a beneficial factor for the well-being of users as well as for environmental reasons. 

We, the youth of Pierrefonds-Roxboro, call upon our MP, Francis Scarpaleggia, to advocate for BIXI to become available in all areas of Pierrefonds-Roxboro. Furthermore, this is a great way to ensure the well-being of the citizens within our community as well as saving the environment from further damage.
