DO NOT DISCONTINUE!!!
I use the service when I am outside cellular areas which is still a considerable size in Canada. This is a short sided decision that will hurt the rural areas.

Tornados at night!! Cell phones are generally turned off or at least muted at night. How will we be warned of Tornado etc, at night without our weather radios working.

Also camping. Our weather radios are staples when camping for warnings of severe weather.

We have no internet and my cel phone will not work in Normandale. So how would you like me to stay safe with out our weather radio service.

Our summer home is in Long Point (Port Rowan, Norfolk County), which does NOT have reliable Internet. Therefore, the weather radio is our only reliable method of being alerted to incoming severe weather.

This service has allowed me and my kids to gage the next day's start to avoid rain on many occasions in the back country where cell service is non-existent. Save this important service.

Ce service de météo est encore fort utile et essentiel pour la sécurité maritime! C'est loin d'être tout le monde qui a accès aux informations de météo partout!

While I do not live in Canada, I know that the weather radio service can save lives. It is important that we preserve the service.
