Carl Bainton stood as an independent councillor and many voted him in for this very reason. Less than a week later he has defected to the labour party and i feel that he has lied to every voter. I believe he has committed fraud as its quite obvious by the quickness of his defect to the labour party that this was always the plan. I feel that he should do the right thing and resign and allow a by-election and then give the people of Ebbw Vale South the chance to vote for the people now knowing who really is an independent and who is actually a labour councillor
