Treat sellers as they do buyers
Treat sellers as they do buyers
The Issue
Simply put, if there are no sellers, then there can be no buyers yet eBay's practices of treating their sellers like second class citizens to the buyer continues and must be changed. eBay refuses to listen to the individual so perhaps together, our unified voices will be heard.
eBay doesn't allow the seller to leave non-positive feedback for a buyer. The seller can only leave positive feedback for a buyer, even if the buyer doesn't pay, or tries to scam you out of your money for your item and other problems with some buyers. The only protection a seller has is if they pay extra for signature confirmation, yet they don't give that option to be added on the auction so it doesn't come out of the seller's pocket.
eBay takes a large percentage for items you sell on top of the extra shipping fees just to be protected.
eBay protects only the buyer, even when the buyer doesn't deserve it. eBay orders PayPal to withhold the seller's payments if they do not sell more than 25 items, don't maintain 100% feedback and don't sell more than $250 worth or if they don't sell anything within 90 days. The seller is at the mercy of the buyer for positive feedback to get their funds released, yet they do not force the buyer to leave positive feedback as they do the seller to the buyer. There is NO option for a seller to leave any kind of feedback other than POSITIVE to a buyer.
eBay needs to start treating their sellers who have had their accounts for more than 12 months without problems better. We understand that protecting the buyer is important, but its equally important to protect the seller. Without the sellers, there are no buyers.
eBay is a US based company, yet they quickly forget the Bill of Rights in which everybody is treated equally regardless of race, religion, sex or in this case, how many items you've sold.
eBay needs to change their policies to treat the sellers equal to the buyers. No better and no less, just EQUAL.
