Isaac Butterfield is a so called comedian who specialises in shock humour. However many of the jokes he has made are inappropriate, and offensive to many minority communities. He dismisses all of this because it is just a joke, but fails to include where people who actually experienced the events gave him the right to joke about it. He continues to profit off his shows while communities all around the world still struggle with what has occurred. His latest viral joke, talking about how the largest tragedy that occurred after the Christchurch massacres was the absence of cabbies, due to the fact that they were all dead as a result of the shootings not only mocks the victims of the tragedy, but uses a racially charged stereotype in order to create a punchline that demeans and degraded the victims of the shooting.  He has refused to apologise, but we as a team need to make sure this man never has a platform large enough to spread his toxic “humour.” His jokes are not funny, and this type of hatred should not be tolerated. Islamophobia, ignorance, racism and literal bullying should never be given a stage. This is far beyond the reach of political correctness, this is hate speech, and we will not condone, nor encourage this behaviour and those who indulge it.
