There are over five hundred confirmed cases in Coronavirus and twenty-two reported deaths in the United States. Washington confirmed one hundred and thirty two cases and eighteen reported deaths. We shouldn't wait till one of us gets infected. As a sophomore At EWU I am creating this petition to save my life and also other young individuals. This virus has already made a name for itself by killing many individuals in china as well as spreading  to other countries at a fast pace. Many infected individuals will spread the virus without their knowledge. Therefore, Taking everyones health into consideration it is better to change all the regular classes as to online and exams. Our University being diverse, the students have the higher chance to get infected. Also, there are many students whose traveling during the spring break and coming back to Cheney which they might have been infected. I heard that the security checking at the airport they did not do anything for people who’s coming back to the States. All they did was asking whether they were from a certain place and they just let them leave the airport without any tests or anything. This shows that government has not taken any proper steps yet. There are universities in the United States that already start with changing the courses and finals to online due to Coronavirus for the safety of their students.
