Save 3 Granville Road From Demolition By Developers

A planning application has been submitted by Associated Property Owners Ltd to knock down Kempston at 3 Granville Road, Eastbourne and redevelop the site to provide 16 apartments.
We believe if this development is allowed it will be the start of a trend which will see other historic buildings pulled down by property developers looking to maximise profits by replacing Eastbourne’s heritage with large blocks of flats. This will destroy the character of the area and increase parking problems.
It is a common tactic to let buildings deteriorate to the point where it becomes uneconomical to repair and use that to justify redevelopment. These Victorian buildings are built using high quality materials that with care should last hundreds of years.
The final decision is likely to be made at a public planning committee meeting at the Eastbourne Town Hall on the 24th April at 6pm where councillors will listen to recommendations, petitions and objections and vote for or against approval.
Please show your support to save this Victorian building from greedy developers by signing the petition.
