To rethink their planned closure of Forest Row's Amenity tip.
This petition made change with 515 supporters!
Forest Row is a forward thinking, responsible village that has shown it's support for large scale recycling over the years. Our amenity tip is a busy and thriving part of this!
The County Council is wanting to close this important part of our infrastructure due to budget cuts. We believe that this is seriously short sighted as the nearest facility to us will be Crowborough which is across the Ashdown Forest.
So in their wisdom, the Council has decided that mass traffic over the forest is more acceptable than keeping a vital resource going! The added traffic is not the only problem facing our forest as fly-tipping will become a serious problem. Humans will always find the easiest route to any problem!
Keep in mind that this is the same council that has approved a 7 mile zone around the Ashdown forest banning any future new-build developments to preserve this area of natyral beauty.
Recycling is a necessary and essential part of our lives. Land fill sites have got to be reduced and we will not do this by closing down facilities that are vital to our lives and the future of the planet!
If you feel strongly about this, please sign this petition. Say No to this absurd plan. Please share to everyone who uses this valuable resource. There is also a petition at the Parish Council office if you are visiting the Community Centre.
Thank you for your support.
