The East of England Ambulance service Trust (EEAST) must make financial savings over the next few years. the Executive Board have chosen to cut the number of front line double staffed emergency vehicles to try to save money. The Trust have failed to properly consult with the staff that perform the emergency work to try and explore alternative ways of saving money. These cuts to the emergency service are being rushed through and are due to take effect in October and we fear that these cuts will cost lives.
