Our Frontline Ambulance staff work 24/7 in all weather conditions. They do an amazing job - and have been rated as giving outstanding care by the CQC.
Frontline Ambulance staff in the East of England Ambulance Service have told UNISON that their current jackets are not fit for purpose. We feel our staff should be protected from the elements and have uniform that's fit for purpose.
UNISON has asked the Ambulance Trust to issue all patient facing frontline staff with Keela Munro jackets - the same superior jackets issued to frontline staff in the West Midlands Ambulance Service.
Over the past year, the Ambulance Trust has doubled its spend on management lease cars (to almost 1 million pounds/year), increased Deputy Director and Senior management posts, and spent over 500k on a private management consultancy to advise them how to save money. UNISON feels it would be wiser to spend some of that money on better supporting our crews.
Please sign our petition and add your voice - to ask our Trust to put #Staffb4Cars and help keep our crews #Warm&Dry this winter.
