Thousands upon thousands of sharks are caught every day just to have their fins cut off. The sharks are then thrown back into the ocean or left on the ground to slowly suffer and die. This inhumane procedure leads to their fins being sold to restaurants around the world for hundreds of dollars.
When I saw that numerous Chinese restaurants in Sydney were selling shark fin dishes I was disgusted and saddened that there were places in our country that were supporting this. East Ocean Restaurant is one of the busiest and renown places in Sydney that serve shark fins and I want to do my part in stopping them and eventually wiping out the sale of shark fins in Australia for good.
