East Lothian: Reinstate Our Community Police Teams
This petition had 28 supporters
Our police officers and our anti-social behaviour teams carry out fantastic, meaningful work in all our communities each day. Their job was made a lot harder when the current Labour/Tory Administration on East Lothian Council cut the funding that enabled dedicated community police teams to work with them.
Overnight the support was cut from 13 to 3 officers. It's neither wonder that incidences of anti-social behaviour have risen by 19% in the last 6 months. The police have said that their job has been made all the harder because of this ill advised cut.
The SNP have been clear, if they control East Lothian Council after the up and coming election on May 4th, the funding will be reinstated for the benefit of the people and communities of East Lothian.
