At East Jessamine High, students are fighting to change the dress code policies. Many young women feel targeted because of East's dress code. In many schools across Kentucky, students are fighting for the right to express themselves. The problem is not teachers dress coding students, the problem is the fact that that the code book discriminates against young women specifically. Our bodies are being discriminated against, and we are tired of it! Students are not allowed to wear clothes showing shoulders, midriff, thighs, etc. This affects some students comfort, and freedom. Stop teaching children that their bodies are sexual objects, and start teaching boys how to control themselves!
