Let Mrs A (Agisotelis) Teach Senior Class of 2022-2023

Let Mrs A (Agisotelis) Teach Senior Class of 2022-2023
Mrs. Agisotelis is everyone’s favorite 11th grade teacher here at East Forsyth High. The students, who know her as ‘Mrs. A’, describe her as “a great teacher”, “caring”, and “sweet”. Many students can recall times when they felt she went out of her way to help them understand the lesson or even offer advice and compassion on a rainy day. One wrote, “She wants her students to understand what she’s teaching but also relate it to their everyday life”. The epitome of an awesome role model, Mrs. A enthusiastically inspires and motivates anyone who enters her class room; all while managing to maintain a productive learning environment.
As any teacher, administrator or parent knows, dealing with high school students is not easy. As most teenagers are stuck on a rollercoaster of self-discovery, hormones and expectations they struggle to find consistency or comfort. And motivation? Forget about it. Mrs. A however, can make anyone feel at home. Her attitude is always bright and her energy is contagious. This positive attitude is just the push many students need to feel confident and encouraged in the classroom.
Taking all of that into consideration, it is no wonder that class of 2023 is disheartened to learn she will not be their teacher next year. It makes sense that the first-ever graduating class of East Forsyth High should graduate alongside their favorite teacher, but sadly, this is not the case. As of now, Mrs Agisotelis is expected to teach zero senior classes in the year of 2022-2023, and we have yet to acquire a valid reason why.
Students and parents of East Forsyth, I ask you to join me in my mission to ensure the first graduating class will stand a little taller on their special day. We will stand taller knowing that we were blessed to be taught by the true epitome of an awesome role model. As we walk across the stage we will walk proudly, and with an attitude that is bright, because Mrs A inspired us to do so.
