Savanna Jacks started this petition to East Coast Guard

Once upon a time there was a man with a dream. His name? Reza Baluchi. He has walked across America twice and the perimeter of it once. His next big adventure is to walk across the water from Florida, USA to Bermuda in his own, home built, bubble.

He has made this attempt three times so far, but after the first try, the East Coast Guard banned his journey as unsafe. Since then they have mercilessly harassed him and crushed his dreams. They even went as far as to pop his bubble, sinking tons of plastic and GPS devices to the bottom of the ocean. Which seems rather hypocritical.

Now I must address the reason they have banned his journey is because his first attempt failed so miserably they had to save him. But he has since then fixed the issues and claims he will no longer call for help. The walk is to raise charity money for abused kids, a cause to which he says he will give his life for if it comes to it. This man, no this hero, wants to be a martyr so I ask you why not let him? People have died in the name of civil rights before, heck we even let rock climbers try the impossible for less reason.

It is not the government’s right to tell this man he cannot walk, just as it is not up to them what a worthy cause is to die for.

I ask you to simply sign this petition in favor of making this mans final grand plan a success, thank you in advance.
