As a student in the educational system of eastern North Carolina, I believe the dress code expressed toward the young women of Carteret County is unjust. Our bodies are NOT a distraction, asking a woman to cover up IS. The dress code at ECHS needs to be updated due to the fact we are a constantly changing society that does not tolerate misogyny. Why shouldn't we have the ability to express ourselves openly? We spend the majority of our time and lives in the educational system, so we should be able to express ourselves COMFORTABLY. I hope to get East Carteret High's dress code changed as a start. I know it won't be easy, but I'm looking for supporters, so if you are with me leave a signature and share.
