Miss.Contreras does not provide an environment where students feel supported in their learning. Miss.Contreras is a very passive aggressive person. She has interfered with students' learning in both her AVID and APUSH class. She is very unfair, petty, and one of the least understanding teachers on campus. There is no creativity in her teaching, she is always behind on grading, and she fails to connect with students. These are just examples but nothing compares to the actual feeling of being in her classroom. With each day that came, there was always a new reason for her to be upset or angry. For the smallest reasons, sometimes without warning, she docks points or assignments entirely from your grade. The students believe that any other teacher would be better for the AVID senior class and the APUSH junior class. The seniors are struggling with their applications/preparing for college and the juniors are struggling to understand history terms and concepts in general. Her attitude and personality does not fit a teacher’s etiquette. The students are requesting for a change to be made.
