Early Professional Special Interest Group for the State of Alabama!

Are you near the end of school and find yourself asking, “What do I do now?” Are you an early professional with a desire to help others??
The Early Professional Special Interest Group (EPSIG) is a place for you!
The purpose of the EPSIG shall provide a platform for Physical Therapists (PTs) and Physical Therapist Assistants (PTAs) to meet, share ideas, and promote interests regarding the field of physical therapy, the ALAPTA, and the APTA. We also seek to create opportunities for academic enrichment, professional advocacy, and clinical skills development.
As a member of the EPSIG, members will have the opportunity to expand their professional network to include potential employers and leaders within the field of physical therapy by attending social events, conferences, and state-wide events hosted by the EPSIG and/or ALAPTA. Members will also be provided with opportunities for professional mentorship and participation in community service events.
Many other states with established SIGs find that they are a great way to get members more involved and to give members the resources they need to take their career in the direction they want!
You must be a member of the APTA and ALAPTA in order to be eligible for membership in the EPSIG. You must also have less than 5 years of clinical experience. However, becoming a member of the EPSIG comes with no additional fees and all events are optional. Although attendance at events is optional, the more participation, the better our EPSIG will be!
If this sounds like something you would like to see implemented in Alabama, please sign this petition with your name, school, and APTA member number.
