We the students at ECHS FORT HOOD believe that we should be allowed to wear ripped jeans at school in order to encourage creativity! Teachers have told us that ripped jeans are banned due to their unprofessional manner, however society has changed throughout the decades ,and now in modern society, ripped jeans are embraced and embarked as a form of creativity. Students express forms of emotion and creativity through fashion senses, helping to demonstrate to others who they are and what they are like at a glance. Banning ripped jeans strips students from being fully able to express who they are to other individuals. We believe the dress code regarding jeans should be modified. Our requested modifications are what follows;

- Allow rips in jeans, however skin can only be shown knee height and under.

-Rips above the knee must cover the skin using non see through material under the jean, failure to do so may result in a dress code violation

This is what we ask to allow students to have the freedom to express themselves fully. Let students allow their creativity to spread with smaller limitations!
