Almost every major roads and streets in cities even state capital are littered with solid wastes of all sort from all road users and residents from all walk of life dump solid wastes at non designated points. All these wastes become nuisances when they are not removed by waste collectors, animals like goats and dogs, hen etc  scattered and feed on them, picked up pathogenic micro-organism to human, the animal and winds and rain water scattering the solid wastes destructing the aesthetic qualities of the environment, also negative environmental impacts like infectious diseases, land and water pollution, obstruction of drains leading to flooding among others are the effect of indiscriminate dumping of solid wastes on the environment. The trends need to stop; to prevent distortion of environmental qualities, reduce risk of injury, and infection and prevent breeding of diseases vectors like mosquitos, land and water pollution.

Government agencies like urban and planning, environmental health officers, should make sure all houses should have small waste collection and recycling points at each household to reduce the wastes that get to desginated collection points. Then, at community level, the government should as matter as of policy to allow circular economy of solid wastes for energy production through waste recycling and bio gas production. All these efforts will positively provide to climate change solutions.

Government should begin to look into promulgate laws to punish offenders dumping wastes on the roads and streets at non-designated points.
