My name is Jen Lant. And I suffer from Agoraphobia, which is a recognized disability in the UK.
In the disability and equality act, a disability is defined by how long you've had the condition, and how long it's expected to last. Therefore, inhibiting your abilities to carry out day to day tasks and 'function' like a normal person. My solicitors and I may have a court case coming up thanks to the discrimination the DWP (Department for Work and Pensions) have shown against me.If the case goes ahead, and goes to court, I will print off this petition and give it to my representative to give to the judge on the court date.
In the hope that I win the discrimination case, the DWP will be urged to review and change their policies for disabled people. Not only a win for me, but for all those in a similar position. This petition will aid the process and show that something needs to be done for those who are being treated unfairly. Please sign and leave a message if you wish.
