Due to the coronavirus restrictions practical driving tests have been delayed by three months and are very likely to be deferred again. Due to no fault of the candidates, although for understandable health reasons,  there are candidates whose theory test will expire before their new test date. It only seems equitable that the expiry date is extended for say 6 months rather than the candidate having to resit the theory test. At present even being able to retake the theory test seems to keep being put back. These are exceptional circumstances. As a driving instructor I would like to be able to serve my pupils fairly and this does not seem to be fair.
