As more and more motorists and cyclists are on the roads there isn't enough awareness on the stopping distances and manoeuvrability of a hgv vehicle. 

There needs to be more education for all types of road users what hgv drivers have to put up with on a daily basis. 

The amount of training we have to go through and hours of CPC training to carry on with our chosen career,  hgv drivers are normally the one at fault when technically 90% of the time we aren't. 

Accidents are happening through car drivers pulling in front of hgvs and we haven't got the stopping distance from their recklessness and uneducated understanding of a 18/26/44T hgv. 

Car drivers coming in too close on roundabouts when a hgv is clearly taking two lanes for them to safely make it round that corner or to avoid street furniture safely and without damaging any property or pedestrians.

People need to be more aware so I'm petitioning for extra knowledge from either additional hazard perception/ theory questions or the possibility of a experience day with an qualified hgv driver or a simulated driving test of a hgv bringing in different scenarios before going for their practical test. 

This I firmly believe will stop alot of the accidents on UK highways and surely save lives.
