University of Dundee Tennent's Appreciation Society started this petition to President, DUSA The Union (President) and

We’re not mad. Actually, we’re not even disappointed. At this point, we’ve come to expect nothing but neglect and unprofessionalism. DUSA The Union continually let themselves, their staff and us, their students, down. We’ve been striving for change for far too long now, and, two years later, we’ve seen no efforts made by DUSA to bring about the change that is so clearly needed by its students. We don’t want to be told that “The actual liquids Tennent’s versus Carling are very similar,” -(DUSA Operations Manager) and we disagree with the “excellent range of beers at competitive prices” that are brought up every time we talk about this. There is only one pint to rule them all.

We want change. We want to be heard. We want justice back on campus. Our Union has failed us over and over again. We have no faith in them or their decisions. We need a political solution to quite frankly a political problem. We liken ourselves to Greta Thunberg, Ghandi, or even Extinction Rebellion as our methods so far have been purely peaceful however satyagraha can only last so long before Dundee students become entirely suppressed.

To Edinburgh and its students, please realise how lucky you are to have a Union that cares about its students and listens to what they have to say. Think about the ease with which Tennent’s was so quickly restored to your Teviot’s taps. A simple change.org petition, and just three short days later, Vitamin T is flowing again. We wish “Scotland’s number one Union” could take a page out of Teviot’s book because on a serious note, this is embarrassing and this is morally wrong.

We didn’t think we’d need a petition, but if that is what’s needed for us, then we’ll have one. Dedicated followers of the TAS, please sign below to finally bring Tennent’s back to our Union. Spread it everywhere you can, to your friends, flatmates and family members to support our great cause.
