Stop Durham University banking with Barclays.

Stop Durham University banking with Barclays.
BARCLAYS is Europe’s worst funder of fossil fuels, fracked oil and gas and coal power since the Paris Agreement.
Durham University promised to 'divest from companies involved in fossil fuel extraction' in 2018 but still banks OUR MONEY in Barclays.
OUR Student union voted in favour of the motion to boycott Barclays Bank in February last year but the University still uses Barclays over 20 months later.
This year Barclays has invested £4.1 billion in NEW fossil fuel projects.
WE DEMAND that Durham University, from the next academic year, stops using Barclays and uses a bank that reflects the values it supposedly stands by.
Alternatively if the cost of transferring banks is considerable we demand that this cost is invested in additional ethical, sustainable and environmentally friendly investment projects for the university and local community.
