We are a small group of individuals who are attempting to open a small, community run, not for profit, members only cannabis dispensary in the North East of England, with cooperation from the council and local police force/Police Crime Commisioners office. This would be a one of a kind pilot program in the UK, which will only occur with support from police and also the local Council.

We intend to control every stage of production and processing from seed all the way to flower/concentrate and then sale. Full testing will be undertaken so consumers can experience organic cannabis devoid of particulate and biological residuals. We will be proposing an "over 21s only policy" and a cost cap of £10 per gram on flowers, with a cap on members that will be decided in conjunction with the authorities.

This will be  intended as a non profit scheme, properly licensed, with all proceeds being invested back into local services that have faced cuts due to Tory govt policies; our aim is to predominantly fund youth services, local drug rehabilitation programs and other programs that the council and police may highlight to us.

As a group we are aware of the harm to society that the black market drug trade can do, especially to young and vulnerable children and adolescents. As such we are putting harm prevention at the forefront of our model that we are proposing to the powers that be. 

We are in the initial stages of discussion however the more support we have going forward to higher the likelihood of having a positive outcome from the local Council & police services. We aim to both provide a flow of capital to the council whilst also providing a small number of jobs, based at every level of industry (primary secondary and tertiary). 

This is an opportunity to show that large multi national companies aren't the only ones who can be involved in a responsible and well thought out approach to drug policy and sales, whilst also giving individual breeders in the industry the opportunity to highlight their genetics.
