John Bohannon has proven himself to be an unfit Superintendent for the Durham School District.  John has repeatedly displayed an inability to effectively guide our district which is negatively impacting the education of our students and the future of this community. 

Therefore, the Community of the Durham School District declares its' complete lack of confidence in Bohannon’s leadership and respectfully requests that the Durham School Board remove Bohannon from his current position as Superintendent.  

Our community and school district has had many struggles in the last couple of years, fires, floods and now the pandemic. Strong leadership is needed to navigate through difficult times, unfortunately we lack strong leadership. Our community deserves better! A true leader stands up for what is right at all times, this is not what we have seen from Mr. Bohannon.

This community's serious concerns and complaints include: 

The lack of open communication, with parents, students and staff. His continued ignoring of staff, parents and students complaints, and he has constantly refused to discuss openly concerns for the district.  The lack of self accountability has been detrimental to the community and mostly our children. The lack of supporting CA ED Code. The use of intimidation and threatening behavior. The denial of constitutionally protected rights as American citizens is egregious.

This petition serves as a vote as no confidence in our current Superintendent John Bohannon demanding the resignation or termination.
