Keren Shah started this petition to Dunlap 323 School Board

At the October 21st school board meeting, the Dunlap School Board proposed cutting Arts, Technology, and Counseling from our schools. At this time, more than ever, our students need each of these as an outlet.

Personally, I cannot imagine my children's school without Mrs. Wright to teach art and Mrs. Dando as a school counselor. I have three children in the district and each child has been deeply impacted by the positivity and caring from Mrs. Wright and Mrs. Dando. And these are just two examples of the people involved in this potential cut.

Art, Technology and Counseling are vital to the success and well-being of our children. I am asking you to sign this petition to let the school board know how you feel. The Board has proposed either cutting these positions or a tax levy, yet there is $48 million dollars in their reserve. In addition, the board approved a new board of education office totaling $1 million; was this even necessary?

Art, Technology and Counseling are all important for the success of our children and their education. If you feel so, too, please let the board know.
