Have Dunkin Donuts start donating nightly leftovers
0 have signed. Let’s get to 100!
Just ran to grab a dozen donuts for the kids from Dunkin' Donuts here in Streetsboro as a special treat, 8pm on a Tues and while Im sitting in the drive thru I'm watching the other girls literally throw dozens upon dozens of donuts straight off the racks into the trash. I asked the girl "you throw those away every night, like that many?" Her response, "we sure do" I ask her "can't you donate them to a shelter, senior center the schools anything?" Response back "no we just toss them" So I'm sitting here in complete disbelief... How could they not go to people,I get they aren't "healthy" but to some people food is food. A treat is a treat. How come they are literally just throwing away edible food nightly without a second thought...and im talking dozens upon dozens...There has to be a better way...there has to be a way to make them donate them... Geezz I'll pick them up nightly and drive them to women/children shelters, homeless shelters, anywhere that will accept them. I'm hoping to get enough signatures to make a change first on the local level and then hopefully we can make this a change in how Dunkin Donuts policy is written and how they handle their "nightly leftovers". Right now it's up to each individual location to dispose of their left over food how they choose, throwing into the trash should NOT be an option.
