As a member of the Dundee Community School District Citizen's Advisory Committee on Education Equity, I strongly object to the arbitrary canceling of the Committee's next meeting scheduled for August 18th. This action was not discussed with any Committee members and was done by Superintendent Edward Manuszak alone.

Not only was this action arbitrary and unjustified, I would like to remind the Board that Mr. Manuszak does not have the authority to take such an action. Board Policy PO9140 clearly states that while Mr. Manuszak as a member of the Staff of Dundee Community School District can be a member of the Committee, the Chairperson of the committee must be chosen from the citizens and not from staff or Board Members. As such, previous Committee meetings have been held without consideration or concern for Board Policy with Mr. Manuszak assuming the roll of Supreme Leader/Dictator.

Accordingly, as members of this Committee we hereby advise you that the meeting of the Citizen Advisory Committee is hereby reinstated to August 18th as the majority of the Committee voted at the last meeting and that Mr. Manuszak be instructed to notify all members via email without delay. If he is is unwilling to comply, we instruct you, the Board of Education, to instruct Mr. Manuszak to forward the email list to Heather Malone so that she can notify the members of the meeting.

While Mr. Manuszak is welcome to attend the August 18th meeting, the Committee will conduct the meeting, beginning with the election of a Chairperson without him.
