Parents, carers, guardians will drop the children off at school and just park anywhere that includes parking on the pavement. This then makes it difficult for other children to walk on the pavement as doors are being swung open. This is a hazard as children are forced to then walk around the car to walk on the road onto oncoming traffic where it is a narrow road. Or grass which is usually full of dog poo. Elderly people and disabled live nearby or other parents with buggies cannot get by with the cars on the pavement. Access is blocked for buggies, wheelchair or mobility scooter. Vision is blocked for children cross at the corner as cars are parked on the kerbs on corner also. The school have put out cones, which drivers park in between or over them, signs have been put up but ignored. Police and traffic wardens have been in attendance at times, once they leave its parking as usual. What is required is permanent barriers to stop this happening. Safety is paramount for our children as an accident is waiting to happen before action will be taken so let's action this now before its too late. Road safety now and say NO TO PAVEMENT PARKING.
