The Peel Region(+Dufferin Peel) are habitable to millions of citizens, many of those who are children. Inside schools, many of these children are not properly taught what it means to be an ally; why discrimination, racism, and prejudice is bad. Growing up in this region, I have never been taught by teachers about any of these subjects.

Teaching kids at a young age about racism makes the world a better place. Although some may claim that these children are "too young" or "may not grasp the concept", these topics can easily be simplified for those to understand, and it is never too young to learn about how to be a good person. 

I believe children should have mandatory teachings. Teachers should no longer turn a blind eye to the racism that lies in school hallways and classrooms. These teachings should be the same way some catholic schools talk about virtues: often, and at least once a month. We need to ensure that the next generation is full of good people who all respect each other.
