Stop council evicting a mother and her 3 sons from the family home of 46 years
Why this petition matters

Amanda is a registered nurse who has worked tirelessly for the NHS at Russell's Hall hospital, especially the last few months during the world wide pandemic Covid-19. Whilst also caring for her mom who had many health conditions. Her 23 year old son also worked as a hospital porter during this time to help out whilst also working another job.
Amanda and her 3 sons have lived with her mom Ann for just over 10 years. Her parents Ann and Joe have rented the property from dudley council for about 46 years so Amanda was actually born there too.
Unfortunately when her dad died 17 years ago the tenancy was passed over to her mom Ann. Amanda made the decision to move back in to her family home to help and care for her mom, bringing her 3 boys with her.
Sadly Ann passed away last month and Dudley Council have now said Amanda and her 3 sons are to be evicted because Amanda is not named on the tenancy agreement. All this was done via meetings of Amanda's housing officer with other housing officials to which Amanda was never invited to so she didn't get the chance have her say.
Now if you remember I said Amanda has 3 boys.. the 23 year old who goes out to work and is a very well respected young man. A 16 year old who has just left school and is enrolled on a college course and is also a lovely polite young man, and her oldest son who is 24. He too is a lovely young man but like many others has had his problems when he was younger but has since been diagnosed with a few serious mental health conditions which explains the problems he had and which he now receives medication for. He very rarely leaves the house as being out of the house makes him feel very unsafe and anxious.
So as you can imagine having to deal with the loss of Ann the mom/nan who was the nicest lady you could ever meet has been incredibly hard for all of them but to also have this eviction hanging over their heads must be unbearable. The 24 year old has found this struggle far too much and is not coping well at all meaning his medication has had to be increased as increasingly becoming more agitated. Amanda has also had to seek medical help for her grief and anxiety because she also feels theres no hope and has also had to take time off work as she knows she cant give 100% to her NHS job and doesn't want to be a risk to others.
Please please sign and share this petition and help us change the decision that Dudley Council has made to evict this lovely family.
We as a community are prepared to do whatever we can to reverse this decision.. (written petition, this online petition and a letter writing campaign) and even speaking up on their behalf to our local mp and council officials if this can be arranged..as we think it is so unfair and we dont want to lose such a nice, caring and highly respected family from our street.
