A plan to change the flow of traffic through Inchicore has been put together without fully consulting every resident and business in the area. The plan will severely impact on travel for those living and working in Inchicore and those who pass through to get to work or for hospital appointments. It would also hinder the emergency services saving lives. Elderly people would also be affected because the plan would see buses detoured around Inchicore restricting their movements and limiting their lives and activities. The plan laid out will see Tyrconnell Road/Emmet Road/Gratten Crescent junction reduced dramatically. It will turn the area into a one way system and cause more delays than there would normally be. Deliveries to businesses would be disrupted as would events such as football, weddings, funerals  and family activities. This will also affect surrounding areas, Bluebell, Drimnagh, Ballyfermot etc.
