HRD Ministry Begins Consultations on Reopening Schools

Parents Association

Jun 9, 2020 —

Today we are over 7.3 lakh signatures strong - this only makes our voices stronger for the safety of our children. The HRD ministry on Monday began consultation with states and other stakeholders on reopening of schools. Union HRD Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal ‘Nishank’ said the suggestions will be examined and sent to the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare and Ministry of Home Affairs.

“However, it is early to decide on when schools will reopen, consultations have begun. A final decision will be taken by MHA in this regard and states will also have to keep the COVID-19 situation in mind,” the official said.

It only becomes more important that we continue to raise our voices, and make sure the Ministry can hear what parents have to say for the safety of all our children. Please keep sharing the petition and retweet as much as possible.

Thank you for all your support,
