Thousands of IT workers work in Whitefield / KR Puram Area and live in places like Kengeri, Mandya, Mysuru. Most of them relocate to Bangalore due to non availabilty / longer commute option due to the heavy traffic in Bengaluru especially near IT corridors of Whitefield, Tinfactory & KR Puram. An employee living in Kengeri takes nearly 3 hours to reach Whitefield. This is also resulting in increase of Bangalore population resulting in congestion, housing problem, scarcity of water etc.
Currently most of them were managing with Kannur/Karwar (16518) express till SBC departing Mysuru at 5:30 AM with very little unreserved compartments till Bengaluru. Also this train was not punctual due to Ghat section through which it passes. From Bengaluru they used to manage with very few suburban trains and Metro till Byappanahalli. On the return side, they were using same train leaving SBC at 8:30 PM.
Now this train will be diverted via newly laid track between Bengaluru & Hassan for time reduction for 3 days of a week. Now daily commuters have to take the next passenger which will be late not suitable for office goers of Whitefield/KR Puram/Tin Factory.
An easy solution is availble for this by extending 12609/12610 Bangalore Chennai Superfast express till Mysuru. Currently this train leaves KSR at 8:00 AM. This train can start from Mysuru at 5:20 AM, stopping at Mandya,Channapatna,Ramanagaram & Kengeri, reaching KSR at 7:45 AM.
In the return direction, it reaches Bangalore at 8:00 PM. It can start from Bangalore at 8:20 PM and reach Mysuru by 10:45 PM. This train being 2nd Sitting will be more helpful for daily travellers.
Request Hon'ble Railway Minister/Minister for State/DRM SBC/DRM MYS/DRM Chennai to do the kind needful and help daily travellers.
