Lee Shepherd started this petition to Draper City Council

On Thursday, October 14, 2021, the City of Draper, Planning Commission will approve or deny the request to change City Zones for the Crosspoint Development Project, which is the property directly North of Chandlerpointe Townhomes.

Last December, the developer requested 2 zone changes before the Planning Commission:

1) build 25 feet higher than zoning allows. This meant, 25 feet higher than the current health equity buildings.

2) build 6 feet from Chandlerpointe property line versus the 20 feet required by zoning law.

We are creating this petition to reject this proposal and propose instead that the city plan for more greenery, sustainable, and remote working spaces on the property. The workforce has changed and we would hope that Draper City changes with it. Rather than build more buildings that will sit empty, just like 3 of the 4 Health Equity buildings just across street that have sat empty for almost 2 years, we propose that the city explore options for the property that would include economic remote working spaces that will benefit the citizens of the community and keep from devaluing the homes in the area. Rather than devalue homes, the city should be looking to add value to  the surrounding neighborhoods.

Please consider signing this petition and help us save the future and value of our neighborhood. The approval or denial of this proposal will set a precedence for future decisions that this city council will make. Please let your voice be heard! Tell Draper City Council to reject the plans for the the Crosspoint Development Project and consider proposals that will only add value to the surrounding neighborhoods!
