3 young lives have been tragically lost in Appley Bridge Quarry. It’s a derelict unsafe disused Quarry and a magnet to young people. I’m starting a This campaign to help save any more young lives being tragically lost. Some Local people are opposed to it being drained and filled and concerned at the environmental impact and houses being later built on the land which would impact on the local infrastructure . Therefore this campaign is to drain partially fill and make a beautiful local recreational area for water sports and possibly a cafe etc . This would reduce the problem of more houses that concern some residents but it would be a positive end to stop a ongoing situation with young people ultimately loosing their lives . It will also boost local employment in the area .
