John Pearcey started this petition to Irish Government and

The Irish government implements lock-down restrictions based on case numbers derived from a type of test called a PCR (Polymerised Chain Reaction) test. This test was rolled out early in 2020 based on a paper called the Corman-Drosten paper accepted for publication by the journal Eurosurveillance.

Just last week (Nov 2020), 22 international top class experts published their review of the Corman-Drosten paper and the PCR test. You can read the full report here https://cormandrostenreview.com/report/ The review is damning. They conclude that the test is utterly unsuitable as a means for diagnosis.

The experts detail 10 "major flaws" in the main test protocol. Amoung the flaws are the following:

the test is enormously variable
cannot discriminate between the whole virus and viral fragments
has no positive or negative controls
has no standard operating procedure
has not been properly peer reviewed
no threshold for positivity was ever identified
labs have been running 40 cycles, almost guaranteeing a large number of false positives – up to 97 percent

The Corman-Drosten paper was submitted to Eurosurveillance on 21st January 2020 and accepted for publication on 22nd January 2020. In the opinion of the 22 experts, it would not be possible to properly peer review a paper in 24 hours. They requested a copy of the peer review report from Eurosurveillance on October 26th 2020. In a letter dated November 18th 2020 the ECDC as host for Eurosurveillance declined to provide access to the report. It must be concluded that the paper was not peer reviewed at all.

To make matters worse, at least 4 of the authors of the original paper have severe conflicts of interest. Two of them are members of the editorial board of Eurosurveillance, the journal that published the paper. And at least three of them are on the payroll of the first companies to perform PCR testing.

In summary, the PCR test is not fit for purpose.

It is the misuse of the PCR test on which politicians have implemented draconian legislation restricting our basic rights to move freely and to meet socially. There could not be a more important issue in recent times as this Covid-19 testing pandemic. The resulting lock-downs and other restrictions have created misery in Ireland and across the world. Whilst the real pandemic ran out of steam according to many experts back in June 2020, the PCR testing has been ramped up resulting in larger and ever increasing case numbers.

The National Public Health Emergency Team (NPHET) in Ireland should be disbanded and an inquiry held as to why NPHET did not properly check the Corman-Drosten paper and consistently ignored growing international alarm bells about the PCR test procedure.

The Irish government needs to immediately discontinue all PCR testing. All lock-down restrictions must be reviewed immediately so that people may again meet and socialize publicly and privately in the way they see fit.
