This is my second time attending school during/after the birth of my children. The first time i didn't have the home support I needed in order to achieve good grades. This time at home all my ducks were lined up! I was ready for success, until a series of events occurred.I delivered early, during a time when multiple assignments I had in progress where due all at the same time. Not all my teachers afforded me grace periods or time to finish. This set me up for failure for the assignments that were connected to it. I realized neither time did I have resources available to me provided by the school.

I'm currently suffering from Baby blues/ Postpartum depression. I'm already your normal new mom tired, but now I'm navigating new mental challenges that I have no control over. I've asked for helpfrom school/teachers and was told essentially "Better luck next time". This is so disheartening and discouraging to those who not only wish to continue their education, while having children, but for those who also want success in their classes. A grace period or extra resources should be provided for such circumstances, not well wishes on the next try! Help me garner some attention so we may find solutions  for parents hoping for success but are suffering from mental disabilities after child birth.
