I saw a story in the news about a dangerous chemical called BVO. It said the chemical is in a lot of drinks in American, but banned in Europe. It said this is like a fire retardant in the some Sunkist products.
That sounds crazy. Why would Sunkist do that?
Dr. Pepper Snapple Group owns Sunkist and Sun Drop soda (the one with the annoying commercials). Who knows what else they own, but I would like them to tell me why they are using BVO in anything when it's banned in other countries? It's not in my standard orange flavor, so that's why I don't see why it's used in the Sunkist Pineapple and in Sun Drop, too.
I'm a dad. I don't ever want my kids drinking this chemical.
And I deliberately live a life where I don't drink alcohol or smoke, so I am obviously wondering in the world would this company would put a dangerous chemical in there or why anyone would drink it.
If they already have alternatives to BVO, I want Sunkist and all the other products from Dr. Pepper Snapple to be made without BVO.
