The name STEM School Highlands Ranch is vastly outdated. Why shall we not reflect on the history of this great country, the United States of America? As such, we would like to the name of our school to represent one of the great American leaders in our vast history, Associate Justice Felix Frankfurter. You may ask what connection he holds to us, why do we hold him dear to our hearts? I pose a question in return. What connection does George Washington hold to George Washington High in Denver, CO? Colorado didn't even exist in Washington's day, and yet we honor him, and we wish to do the same for the great Associate Justice Frankfurter. He accomplished much in his 23 year tenure as Associate Justice from 1939 to 1962, including writing the either dissenting or majority opinion on many crucial cases in US history. He also established Felix's Happy Hot Dogs, the lawyers that Associate Justice Felix Frankfurter recommended for public service, which brings us to our recommendation for the new mascot of the school. Rather than the boring and overused, we suggest Felix's Happy Hot Dogs. This also poses many opportunities for cheerleading outfits and mascot costumes, which can go according to the new color scheme of the school, that being ketchup(Hex color #BB2B1B) and mustard(#E1AD01). In conclusion, to prevent this incredible american leader from being lost in the history books, we want to officially honor Associate Justice Felix Frankfurter.
